Pezzo @ Gaya Street, KK

If you are looking for small portion of pizza to eat in KK (besides Pizza Hut) when you are alone, you can find it at Pezzo. Pezzo is a fast blooming franchise which originated from Singapore and it's first of its kind landed in Sabah. This shop is located along Gaya Street and it's facing Sugar Bun. One slice of  14' pizza ranging from RM 5.90 to RM 6.90 with many many choices to choose from. As for the combo, you can combo up to 6 slices to get a cheaper price. 

Kitchen helpers are super busy in making fresh pizza!

Pizzas are quickly replenished as all of them are fast selling! You can choose from the "done" one if you are in a hurry!

Tadaa... Pizza with 6 combo on the table.. One thing that I like that it's very cheesy but the taste of the sauce seems like the same for all the pizza. They are very generous with their toppings and they can help you to heat up upon request! 

Total damage done for 3 person (pizza plus 2 cans of drinks) = around RM 13 per person.

Bakut Canteen @ Tuaran

If you are not familiar with this place, you will never find this place! Ha-ha.. Make sure that you bring along a local who knows this place or you can use foursquare. This place is located in between of a Petronas petrol station and Hospital Tuaran if you are coming from KK town's direction. If you have enter the huge roundabout, that's means you have missed that place. Bakut Canteen is famous for it's Tom Yum soup, fried Tom Yum noodle and the fried Pan Mee. =) Trust me, this is one of the best place which has Tom Yum which is quite similar to Semenanjung's one!

Operating hours: 10 am till 3 pm... It's hidden behind a garage, that's why it's kind of tricky to find this place.. =)

Must try, Pumpkin red bean paste steamed bun (RM 1.30) and "kopi sejuk"!

Fried Pan Mee seafood (RM 7).. Very generous with what they put but it tasted a bit too salty.. Overall still good.. =) 

Fried Tom Yum noodle with chicken (RM 7).. Noodle tasted like the local Yee Mee and the taste was good. Something very special which you can't get in KK! 

Tom Yum soup prawn (RM 15)..  If you are lucky one that day, you get this! One thing very special about their Tom Yum is that they produced their paste in a very special way with a secret recipe.. Not too sweet, not too salty and not too sour! Just nice.. =) 

If you can't order much, this must be your priority!

Chimdi, Steamboat buffet @ Oceanus, KK

If you are looking for some kind of steamboat buffet in KK, you can find it in Oceanus. Just for your information, Oceanus is one of the latest shopping complex in KK. Very strategic place whereby it is facing towards the sea! 

So, the new restaurant which serves steamboat buffet is Chimdi. It's located at one end of the complex. They have a very special way in serving the dishes which is on the sushi belt. Besides of having raw stuffs for you to cook, they serve various sushi on the sushi belt as well. At the corner of the shop, there are drinks and other fried stuffs which are self service.. 2 soup base to be chosen, namely Japanese soup (tasted like miso soup) and herbal soup (which doesn't suite my taste bud at all).. So you can change anytime! =)

Promotion period, buy 3 free 1! And it's RM 45 nett per person... 

 Anything on the menu which they serve on the sushi belt..

Good that everything is served in small portions as to avoid wastage.. There are some things which are quite special such as mushroom balls, green tea beancurd etc.

 Fried stuffs served too but self-service!

Overall, it's a "so-so" rating from my friends because it's quite expensive for the dishes that they serve if you were to pay RM 45 per person. Moreover, it will be quite a disappointment if you are a meat-eater because the meat doesn't come regularly.. Well, maybe they have improve by now... =)
