Sabandar Leisure Rides @ Tuaran, Sabah

Curious about Sabah's mini cowboy town? Why not spend a half day to travel to this place and walk about! Sabandar Leisure Rides is just about 12 km away from Tuaran town and almost 1 hour drive from KK city center. You can use Google Map to get to this place because it's quite a distance from the main road and there's no sign board from the main road unless you reach within few km from this mini town! If you don't have any GPS, follow along Jalan Sulaman until you reach a roundabout with horses then that's mean you are on the right track!

It's just a very small area which has a horse stable and a row of shops with a restaurant. Activities which you can go for are the horse feeding and riding (with a minimum fee)! I guess it's a very interesting place for the small kids. =)

You can get a bunch of grass with just RM 2 to feed the horse and take pictures with them..

You will reach a beach if you drive further down (about 3 minutes drive) and you can see horses and cows along the beach. You can even bring your stuff to picnic under the tree. There's also some stalls along the well-maintained beautiful beach! Spend some time there and get a fresh coconut drink! =)

After visiting the beach, we were hungry and we got to Tuaran town for lunch at Tuaran Mee Restaurant before heading back to KK! 

Tuaran Mee Goreng Special Tambah Mee (RM 11).. One plate to serve two! Very big portion..

Recommended nearby place to visit: Crocodile Farm and Rasa Ria Resort at Tuaran, Rumah Terbalik and Tamparuli hanging bridge at Tamparuli or Kelapa Punding at Jalan Norowot.

Green Mug Cheese Coffee @ Gaya Street, Sabah

Have you ever heard of cheese coffee before? No, this is relatively new to me as well when Susan told me about cheese coffee! It sounds weird but the taste of the cheese really blended well with the coffee. And now you can try it at Gaya St, Kota Kinabalu. Green Mug Cheese Coffee has their own truck before this and now they have opened a small shop at Gaya St.

 The menu is pretty simple and the price is very reasonable!

 The Tiramisu and Coffee Latte version! The drink is thick enough but I would prefer a less sweet version! =)

New type of beverage to kick start our CNY mood!

The setback about this place is that, it's pretty small inside. So it's a bit difficult to accommodate for big groups! =)

Kang San Ea Korean Restaurant @ Ampang Avenue, Selangor

Whenever I thought of having Korean food in KL, I would always think of Korean restaurants at "Korean Village" Ampang. This is because they never fail to impress their authenticity of their local cuisine to their customers! High expectations are always met.

As for this time, my family and I just hopped into this traditional style Korean restaurant, Kang San Ea. I presumed this restaurant has been here for years! It was really a warm welcome by the staff and the 2 Korean aunties when we stepped into the restaurant. As for the menu, it's similar to any other Korean restaurants, so it was quite simple to choose!

At the front of the shop... Hard to miss them as you can find the K-pop stars on their glass panels!

 Refillable side dishes.. Simple and nice...

Kimchi Stew.. Though my appetite was really bad that day, luckily I have this to open it up! So this was my soup of the day.. =) 

Tteokbokki (Korean glutenous rice cake) with seafood. It was not too salty and it has the authentic Korean taste which I had in those Korean restaurant in KK  

Grilled Pork Belly.. Readily grilled for us.. Good for us as we were always lazy to grill ourselves and no oily smoke for us! =) 

Korean pancake.. The portion was big and luckily we had 6 of us because it won't taste good if you have this too much! One slide was just nice.. 

Beef Stew.. The beef was so so so soft and the texture was just nice, good for the old folks.. If you are alone, you can just order this with a bowl of rice and that's it! =)

 Another grilled marinated pork but I prefer the plain grilled pork belly

Total damage done was about RM 150 including green tea for 6 person. The price was reasonable for 6 person and there will always be next time!
