Looking for a simple and nice western cuisine for lunch or dinner, or even a hang out place during tea time or supper, you can try White + Scarlet Restaurant at Bandaran Menjalara, Kepong. It is located facing Tesco Kepong and at the front row of all the shops which can hardly be missed when you drive along the main road. You can even Google this place on Google map. The down side around this area is the parking as there are many eateries around this area as well, unless you park in Tesco and just walk across the road! =) From the menu wise, they serve a wide variety of food. The special one that must try on the menu includes Spicy seafood aglio, lamb chop or any of the Western grill (or with waffles) with salted egg sauce, prawn paste fried chicken and last but not least, the waffles with ice cream toppings!
White + Scarlet Restaurant.. One of its kind around this area.. I don't think there is any other restaurants serving the same menu around this area..
Spicy Seafood Aglio. A must try pasta unless you are allergic to seafood! The combo of the seafood pasta and the special paste that they use is really good!
Duck and Egg Salad.. For the slightly small eater and healthy meal. =) A combination of proteins and green vegetables
Mashed potato.. Just nice to take it as a side or share among few people.
Lamb Chop with Mint Sauce served with fries and coleslaw. You can just add another RM 5 for a drink and mushroom soup. The lamb chop is just nicely done. Still juicy in the inside and not tough at all (not overcooked) =)
** If you want to have a bigger portion, you can order a grill with waffle! =)
Butterscotch Walnut Waffle.. Is this a right combo? Yeah... It's a right combo.. There is a few flavours of ice cream to choose from. They are all displayed at the counter! One thing that I like the waffle so much is the crispiness which is hard to find. And you must have this fresh definitely before the waffle being soaked with melted ice cream..
Total damage done for all the above with another serving of the same pasta is around RM 120. Just a standard price for a western meal and the portion is slightly bigger than other places! But this is definitely one of the good one-stop place for good food. I will definitely be back here for some other stuff! =)
