Though this place has existed for quite some time but this is my first time having dinner here. If it wasn't because of Facebook featured this place, I wouldn't have knew this restaurant.
New Kai Seng Seafood Restaurant is located on Jalan Kenanga, area around Pudu. You can Google for this place or even find out the exact location on their Facebook page if you have no idea where it is. As for the location, though it is strategic but parking space is quite limited. Getting there with GRAB is not a bad idea! So, there are many special dishes which they serve e.g. Stir-fried raw noodle with fresh water prawns (生虾伊面), Steamed clams in superior sauce (上汤啦啦), Claypot crabs with coconut milk (瓦煲椰汁蟹), Vietnam pork knuckle (越南炸猪脚) and many many more! Though there are many customers all the time but no worries, their service is still ok.
New Kai Seng Seafood Restaurant. Very limited parking space and the restaurant located strategically around the bend of the road...
Normal fried rice (RM 8).. So carbo for people like me! =)
Baby french with salted egg (咸蛋桂豆苗) RM 12... Very generous with the salted egg. Simple, nice and special!
Steamed clams in superior sauce (上汤啦啦) RM 22... Portion is big and the smell for the ShaoXing wine is super strong! Super nice but not good for those who is allergic to alcohol... =)
Stir fried raw noodle with fresh water prawns (生虾伊面) RM 49 for 2 prawns (depends on the size and number of prawns which is RM 14/kg)... The prawns are fresh, nicely cooked with the semi-thick broth, and not too salty. Just nice! But I don't take this too much or else you won't feel nice!
Total damage done for 4 person is just less than RM 100. Sad to say that we can't really try all food on the menu but definitely there is next time for me! Absolutely!
Enjoy and have a nice day. =)
